Iranian ‘Breath’ reaches Belarus

‘Breath’ directed and written by Narges Abyar has been selected as part of the 2017 program of Minsk International Film Festival “Listapad” in Belarus.

Iranian film ‘Breath’ directed and written by Narges Abyar has been selected as part of the 2017 program of Minsk International Film Festival “Listapad” in Belarus.

Produced by Mohammad-Hossein Ghassemi and Abouzar Pourmohammadi, the film is competing in the festival currently underway.

‘Breath’ depicts the daily life of a daydreaming little girl, Bahar, and her persistent efforts to discover the world so she can experience life with all its sweetness and bitterness in her own way.

Bahar loves reading books as it helps her to tolerate the harshness of the world around her. She mixes fairy tales with real events as her life revolves around two turning points in the temporary history of Iran, the revolution and the war.

Though in Bahar’s imaginative world these events are marginal, but the war with its absolute certainty, imposes its reality on the unruly imagination of the little girl.

The film’s cast includes Sareh Nour Mousavi, Pantea Panahi Ha, Mehran Ahmadi, Jamshid Hashempour, Shabnam Moghadami, Siamak Safari and others.

Minsk International Film Festival “Listapad” is held from November 3rd to November 10th, 2017 in the Belarusian capital city of Minsk.
